06. Why & How To Process Feelings

Do you feel in control of your life and feelings? Or do your feelings seem to control you and your life?

We’ve tried to escape our feelings through emotional or stress eating, we’ve tried to avoid them through distractions such as relationships or Netflix. We’ve tried to numb ourselves with working harder, achieving more and it never seems to work. What gives?

Our feelings were never meant to be escaped; they’ve always been meant to be processed – to be felt. 

Left unprocessed, we stay stuck in painful cycles that could potentially develop into one of the many stress-related illnesses plaguing our world. 

So how do we process our feelings?

We acknowledge them without judgment and identify how they feel in our bodies. Easy to say, but it takes practice. This is a skill you will use for the rest of your life, and I’m about to show you how.
